Dow Jones Local Media Group operates community media franchises in California, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon and Pennsylvania.

There are more than 1,500 employees in the DJLMG organization, each dedicated to the responsibility to help maintain freedom of the press.

DJLMG offers an atmosphere that promotes creativity and encourages personal and professional growth. The newspapers and Internet sites regularly receive state and regional awards for excellence. We actively lead and participate in a variety of state and national press and Internet associations and organizations.

All of this would not be possible without the highly professional staff at each location.

DJLMG is committed to serving and improving the communities in which we operate. We also strive, through diversity initiatives, to have our employee population represent the uniqueness of the communities that we serve.

Each DJLMG location functions independently with local editorial and management autonomy. The headquarters is in Campbell Hall, NY, in the Hudson Valley north of New York City.

The DJLMG mission is to provide, through a variety of channels, trustworthy, useful and often exclusive information and services to the communities in which we do business. We maintain high standards of excellence in news content, editorial quality and public service.

The DJLMG organization was founded in November 1936 when James H. Ottaway Sr. purchased the Bulletin, a semi-weekly newspaper in Endicott, N.Y. Within a year he converted it into a daily and in 1944 began buying other publications, starting in the Northeast and eventually crossing the country.

In 1970, Ottaway merged with Dow Jones and now, as DJLMG, operates print and online community media franchises in seven states including daily, Sunday and weekly newspapers, Internet sites, magazines and other news and advertising niche publications.

Operating results and editorial quality are the specific responsibility of each publisher and team of department heads. At the corporate headquarters in Campbell Hall, NY, executives and specialists in finance, sales and marketing provide assistance to all locations for print and online operations. A central staff for information services and the Internet provides technical support.

We invite you to consider joining DJLMG.
